Hi, I'm Poutine.

I’m a stunningly beautiful long-haired tabby girl with green eyes — the kind that watch everything quietly before deciding it’s safe. If you look closely, you’ll notice my most impressive feature: my magnificent squirrel-tail. I carry it straight up when I’m feeling happy or playful, which often happens when you’re heading toward the kitchen with purpose. Oh, and I have the daintiest little sock-ettes too and they show off how gracefully I move around my home. Yes, I am living art.

I’m very sweet, just a little shy. I like to be near my person rather than on them. I’ll sit close by, keeping you company, learning your routines. It will take me several weeks to feel truly comfortable — I need time, patience, and consistency — but once I trust you, I’m quietly devoted and enjoy a cuddle at your feet. I don’t enjoy being picked up, but I do appreciate a gentle head scratch. For reasons I can’t fully explain, the best ones happen when you’re on the loo.

I’ll be happiest in a calm, relaxed home without children.

I have spent the last few months getting on top of my itchy skin. I require a strict hypoallergenic diet and weekly medication to keep my skin healthy and my glorious coat looking its best. I will come with a 4-6 month supply of my medication, included in my adoption fee.

Speaking of my coat: it is lush, luxurious, and absolutely not designed for heat. I don’t cope well with hot weather, so an air-conditioned home is essential. Think cool, serene, and peaceful — very much my style.

If you’re the kind of person who understands that love can be quiet, earned slowly, and expressed by simply being close, I might just be your girl.

I am wormed, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped. I will be adopted with an allergy waiver for my skin. I also come with an extended 6 week settle-in period to give me time to adjust.

Poutine is strictly an inside cat only.
Poutine’s adoption fee is $250.00
